AUTHOR'S BIOGRAPHY
Ana Fischel was born in London in 1970.
She studied at Bassingbourn Village College (Bassingbourn, Hertfordshire), Long Road College (Cambridge) and CCAT (Cambridge).
After that she went to study an art degree at Edinburgh College of Art where she gained a 2:1 in illustration and filmmaking. The same year as graduating she was asked to design the front cover of The Edinburgh Festival programme.
She then moved to Paris to work as an artist for a while where she had numerous exhibitions and also published her first book of poetry and art images entitled ‘The Isolation of a Heart.’
A year later she returned to London to concentrate on her photography. She then worked as a publicist for David Marks and Julia Barfield (the architects behind The London Eye). During this period of time she continued to write poetry which was published in the following books; Oral published by Sceptre; GirlBoy and Random Factor both published by Pulp Faction.
In 1999 she gave birth to her daughter Isabella and married her husband Robert, gaining at the same time a stepdaughter, Lujzka.
Two years later they moved to Spain where they currently live in a beautiful converted river mill.
The Zartarbia Tales are a series of seven children’s books, each one based around one of the seven deadly sins. All seven books are planned out with the second installment being released June 9th 2005.
